How do you choose an AI interview assistant?

Ask 3 things: how it hears the interview, what it bases its answers on, and what it costs for the weeks you actually interview. Most of the differences between these tools, YoodaAI included, sit in those 3 places.

Some run only as desktop apps, others only in a browser tab; YoodaAI does both, and its desktop app can hide from screen sharing. Some write answers from your resume, while YoodaAI answers from what is said in the call. And most bill by the month, while YoodaAI and Parakeet AI sell credits.

FAQ

AI interview assistants: common questions

It depends on how you interview. For a few interviews without a subscription, YoodaAI is the cheapest way in, at $9.99 for an hour. For answers built from your resume, look at Final Round AI and Sensei AI; for languages beyond the common ones, LockedIn AI or Verve AI; for meetings of every kind, Cluely. The table above shows what each one costs.

Several have free tiers, but they are limited: Cluely limits responses, Sensei AI and Verve AI cap free sessions at 15 minutes, and Interview Coder's free app has no AI. YoodaAI's first mock interview is free, and live help starts at $9.99 for an hour.

Some tools sell hiding from screen sharing as a feature, among them Final Round AI, Cluely's top tier, Verve AI and Interview Coder. YoodaAI's desktop app includes it at no extra cost: with privacy mode on, its window is left out of screen sharing and screenshots, though some macOS recording tools can ignore that. In the browser, YoodaAI runs in its own tab and sends nothing into the meeting, so share a single window rather than your whole screen. Whether you may use one at all depends on the company, so check the rules for each interview.

Most of the tools compared here list Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. YoodaAI works with calls opened in Chrome or Edge on a computer, Zoom's web client included, by listening to the shared meeting tab, so there is nothing to install.

An hour of live help is $9.99, bought once. Start with a free mock interview to see how it answers.
